Major CTD operation in Lahore, 5 alleged TTP terrorists arrested

Lahore: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in a major operation in Lahore arrested five alleged terrorists.

According to the CTD spokesman, the terrorists belonged to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and were arrested in the Shahdara area.

Those arrested include Samarqand, Abdul Rehman, Imran, Wazir Gul, and Ismatullah. Weapons, explosives, hand grenades, domestic and foreign currency were recovered from their possession.

A CTD spokesman said that videos of sensitive places including Civil Secretariat Lahore and visas of the enemy country India were also recovered from the accused. The alleged terrorists also attended a meeting with RAW officials in the Jalalabad area of ​​Afghanistan.

The Indian intelligence agency RAW financed the terrorists to carry out sabotage operations in Lahore, but they were arrested on arrival in Lahore.

A case has been registered against him and he has been shifted to an unknown location for further investigation.
