KARACHI: The recent cold wave in Shehar-e-Qaid has further increased the cold, while the Meteorological Department has forecast an increase in the severity of cold in the next three to four days.
According to the Meteorological Department, a new cold wave in Karachi brought down the temperature by two more degrees. Yesterday the minimum temperature of the city was recorded at 14 degrees Celsius while today the minimum temperature was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius.
Winds are blowing from Quetta at a speed of 10 to 20 km per hour, which has increased the severity of the cold. The meteorological department said the current cold wave could continue for another three to four days.
The Meteorological Department says there is currently a chain near Turbat and Khuzdar, the current series of winds are part of the system entering the country in recent days, and this series is causing strong winds in the city.
