LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that he saved the nation Rs 600 billion, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should be grateful to him.
Mian Shahbaz Sharif said this in his statement given in the court during the money laundering case. He said that NAB should thank me for stopping Chiniot Mines and Minerals corruption.
Accountability Court Administrator Judge Jawad Al Hassan heard the money laundering case. Mian Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz were produced in the court under tight security.
The statement of NAB witness Muhammad Sharif was recorded in the court today. League President Shahbaz Sharif told the court that the medical board conducted a check-up, but no report has been provided yet.
He once again quoted Chiniot Mines as saying that he saved the nation’s Rs 600 billion, not the NAB, for which the NAB should thank him.
The judge ruled that the case was in another court, and that you should record your statement as a witness.
A large number of PML-N leaders and workers were also present on the occasion of Shahbaz Sharif’s appearance.
The judge said that the PML-N leaders should resolve the issue themselves, adding that if the court issued an order, there would be trouble for all.
