Allegedly promoting online gambling, Virat Kohli and Tamanna Bhatia got into trouble

Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and actress Tamanna Bhatia are having trouble promoting online games.

The High Court of the Indian state of Kerala has issued notices to the state government and concerned authorities, including Virat Kohli and Tamanna Bhatia, on a petition seeking a ban on the popular online ‘rummy’ (card) game in India.

The petitioner said that the online rummy game is becoming very popular among the youth which is like online gambling, various states have already banned it so it should be banned in Kerala as well.

It may be recalled that Virat Kohli and Tamanna Bhatia are the brand ambassadors of online rummy games and a petition was also filed against them in the Madras High Court in August last year.

The court sought a response from the petitioner by sending notices to cricketer Virat Kohli, actress Tamanna Bhatia, Malayalam actors, and the Kerala government on the promotion of online card games.
